Kids...!

I’ve yet to encounter any other subject matter that generates as much passion and emotion as children.

Before you know it, before you’re ready, they go away to college or fly planes like mine! Fortunately, large painted canvases in every room of our home serve as beautiful and constant reminders of how fleeting and special their childhood years were.

I have a particular fascination with the innocence, charm and complete absence of adult agendas that children possess. They are truly worthy subjects for painting.

In the spirit of 19th century American artists like Sargent and Cassatt, I paint what is around us... everyday glances and activities that tend to be overlooked and easily lost in digital cameras and snapshot drawers. My goal is to create lasting & timeless art that will stand in bold contrast to the electron thin, deceptive age of imagery we find ourselves in today.
